With recent headlines highlighting the amount of negativity and hate in our world, we feel it is imperative to recognize and encourage the power of kindness. We give away bracelets that say “Kindness is Contagious” at our events.

We sponsor the Drepung Gomang Tibetan Buddhist Monks to come to the Keys, when possible, for a week filled with activities, blessings, compassion, and love. By sponsoring the monks, we help them spread peace and interfaith harmony throughout the world.

We sponsored a wonderful kindness festival with booths, food, music, games, and activities to promote kindness in our community. If we have enough volunteers, we hope to do this event again.

We have dedicated community peace parks throughout the Keys. Visit them for meditation, contemplation, and connecting with nature. Look for the Keys to Peace plaque “We are all the Keys to Peace”
Fundraising Projects
Peace Bells
Peace bells are a Keys to Peace fundraising project. They can be bought or won in a raffle. These bells are created from recycled scuba tanks and feature original works of art donated by Florida Keys artists. All of our bells are made from steel dive tanks because they have the best sound. Each bell is specially crafted by local volunteers, with most tanks being donated by surrounding dive shops.
Peace Flags
Because of our connection with the Tibetan Buddhist monks, we sell peace flags at our events. Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom.
Art Walk and Other Festivals
We occasionally have a booth at Art Walk, Art Under the Oaks, Founders Park Christmas Festival, Winterfest at Coral Isles Church, and other festivals to extend kindness, promote activities, inspire membership and fundraising.
