The Joy Center is an organization in the Upper Keys dedicated to creating a community center that expands and improves the life experiences of adults in the Upper Keys. This center provides a venue to develop new friendships and deepen old friendships. A welcoming, vibrant center for a thriving community. The programs and services sharpen the mind, improve physical and emotional well-being, and empower seniors to remain active, independent assets within our community!
Compassionate Healing Programs
Healing through animal-assisted programs. They provide unique, animal-assisted (dolphin), motivational, and educational programs to children, adults with special needs, and their families and caregivers. Through interactive programs, education, and research, participants are inspired to value and respect marine mammals and their environment.

Veterans Transition Support
This organization provides holistic support to veterans. The Long Walk Home is on a mission to help Veterans and military families transition to civilian life. They offer self-empowerment courses, wellness classes, suicide prevention workshops, and community building events-all at no cost to Veterans and their loved ones.
Global movement support
They support the emerging global movement of compassion to co-create transformation at all levels, by connecting, cultivating, and encouraging networks of compassionate action. The Charter for Compassion provides an umbrella for people to engage in collaborative partnerships worldwide.
