Mimi Greek is one of the original founders of Keys to Peace. A retired teacher, author, life coach, and lifelong advocate for children and peace, her work centers on helping people discover their inner strengths and the transformative power of kindness, compassion, and connection.

Her newest passion is exploring AI as a creative partner — blending her writing with music and animation to craft uplifting messages for children and adults alike. Mimi believes that lasting change begins within each of us, and that when we lead with love, together we can create a more peaceful world.

DeeDee Frankovich

DeeDee Frankovich is a gatherer.

For nearly two decades, she has called the Florida Keys home, building a life centered around family, community, service, and the belief that we are better when we come together.

DeeDee believes peace isn't something reserved for world leaders or something we simply hope for. It begins much closer to home—in our conversations, our relationships, the way we listen to one another, and the way we show up in our communities.

She is a wife, mother, grandmother, small-business owner, life coach, breathwork facilitator, and meditation guide. She is also the woman behind grannyJOY GOODees, her Florida Keys cottage bakery, where a loaf of sourdough is often about much more than bread.

Her training through One World Academy and LifeBreath has deepened her understanding that creating peace in the world begins with cultivating it within us. Whether she is baking for her neighbors, guiding breathwork or meditation, or helping bring the community together for an event, the common thread is connection.

DeeDee's relationship with Keys To Peace is deeply personal. The founders who created the organization became her mentors and, over the years, some of her closest friends. Their wisdom, friendship, and example helped shape her own understanding of peace and community.

For DeeDee, becoming President is an opportunity to honor what her mentors began while helping Keys To Peace continues to grow and evolve. She carries their vision forward with tremendous gratitude and the belief that Keys To Peace ultimately belongs to the community it serves.

For DeeDee, Keys To Peace is ultimately about people—bringing them together, discovering what each person has to share, and creating more opportunities to experience peace right here in the community we call home.

After 22 years as a U.S. Army Senior Engineer Officer — leading teams, managing multimillion-dollar programs, and training thousands of Soldiers — Karen retired to be with her daughter and husband, as the demands of a dual-military family made the constant moves and instability hard to sustain.  As a combat veteran, Karen believes true peace begins within — and that when we cultivate it inside ourselves first, we have the power to grow it in our homes, our communities, and the world around us.

Today she's a Florida-certified educator (Math, Reading, ESE, ESOL), and math has always been her jam — she loves helping students succeed and fall back in love with the subject. Her computer science, engineering and leadership background brings a genuine love of critical thinking and problem-solving to everything she builds, from lesson plans to learning programs.

For Karen, teaching has always been about connection — she loves helping others learn, discover their strengths, and grow into their best selves. That passion is what led her to found Smart Learning Haven in 2025, where she designs bilingual curriculum content, online tutoring & learning programs, along with Nomad Zen Zone, a mobile pop-up mindful art creative studio that blends creativity with learning. She's especially drawn to mindful art and mandalas, believing education should be both rigorous and joyful — nurturing the mind and the spirit together.

New to the Florida Keys, Christina brings decades of experience spreading peace, happiness, and joy from her years in upstate New York. She is passionate about championing individuals who struggle with addiction and mental illness, helping to transform suffering into strength, raise consciousness, and empower people to embrace love — for themselves and for others. Her mission is to replace a life of victimhood with one of purpose, guiding people toward inner peace, happiness, and connection.

As the owner of Keys Individual Home Care, Christina channels this same compassion into her business, providing loving, attentive care to those in need.
