Come join the fun every Sunday starting February 21, 2016 (5 – 7 pm) at the Peace Park behind Murray Nelson Government & Cultural Center in Key Largo.

Weekly drum circles have started up again in response to public demand.

Our previous drum circles were held monthly at Coconut Cove Resort on Windley Key, scheduled to correspond to the full moon; this time around, we will be holding them weekly and the chance to see one of the Florida Keys famous sunsets is a distinct possibility.

Bring your drum, maraca, tambourine, or any instrument designed to make a rhythm. Or don’t bring anything at all as extra drums will be available. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and your pet is welcome!

Many thanks to Beverly Brown and Val Poulos for creating this remarkable chance for our community to come together, once again, in love and healing.

Studies show that drumming can be therapeutic, not only for your mind and soul, but also for your body. Drumming reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, induces a relaxed mental state that also reduces anxiety and tension.

It’s fun and it’s physical. What better way to vent than to bang a drum! And what joy to do it with like-minded, loving people!

Join in the fun and camaraderie every Sunday starting at 5 pm. We’re hoping to the sunset over the bay right away!
